snow (hey oh)- a Red Hot Chili Peppers song and the best part of winter

Too often in these winter monthes I hear people complain about the weather, but I love it- I look forward to it as soon as the leaves start falling. As far back as I can remember I've always preferred the cold over a hot, humid summer day- not that I hate summer, it has its perks, but its just not as cool as winter (winter is cool in two ways!). Shoveling snow may be a pain, but mowing the lawn when its 90 degrees isn't a favorite hobby either. There's just so much to do- go skiing, sledding, ice skating, or just throwin' a few snowballs. Winter isn't perfect, nothing is; the days seem so short since it's dark by 5 o'clock and driving can be hazardous (but who doesn't like doing donuts in a parking lot?). Since our class needs to respond to these posts and mine is somewhat all over the place, I'll just ask for some feedback. What's your favorite season and what's the best part of that time of year? or If you could live anywhere in the World in any type of home, where would it be and why is that location so appealing?
